- 1993 to 2008 General Manager both in Full Time capacity & consulting for International Organization with Main office in St. Louis. Overseen seminars and projects. Center locations in over 85 countries dealt with all kinds of social, economic and cultural differences to get large diverse groups together with multiple languages and other barriers.

Schmidt & Associates, LLC assists in marketing and advertising to over 20+ businesses and events throughout the Lake Area and Missouri. From creative & purchasing to implementation & planning, helps a range of businesses and events.
- Started a new real estate company (Gattermeir Davidson Real Estate), with Ryan Gattermeir and Conda Davidson in July of 2008
- Named 2010 Rookie of the Year in Real Estate by my peers and the Bagnell Dam Board of REALTORS..

In partnering with Ryan Gattermeir and Conda Davidson, Ed Schmidt bridges a full service marketing/advertising company with two of the most respected and highest independent producing agents at the Lake. It was a huge risk, considering the housing market economy, but with proven experience from two of the best Realtors at the Lake of the Ozarks, paired the marketing and advertising expertise of Ed, a wonderful partnership has emerged.
In 2009 Gattermeir Davidson was named the fourth largest agency in both real estate boards at the Lake of the Ozarks. In 2010 they were named the Largest Independent/Non I Franchise Real Estate Company at the Lake. The Gattermeir Davidson team's aggressive marketing and internet presence has been influential source of their quick growth in the worst real estate economy in decades. Plus, our traditional advertising campaigns and our community involvement helps brings awareness as well. In 2010, Gattermeir Davidson set records was 3rd largest company in both boards. Also, I was proud to have been selected Rookie of the Year by my peers and the real estate board at the Lake of the Ozarks.
